Again, But Better

“Again, But Better” is a wonderful, easy read. I finished it in less than 24 hours! There is a bit of profanity but not an overwhelming amount. The characters are funny and quirky, and Riccio does a great job of bringing you into the story to live vicariously through the characters. Because much of the book is based in 2011, there are some great throwback references for those of us that were in high school and college around that same time. There is an exciting twist in the story that makes the title of the book come to life. I personally loved the book because I see a lot of myself in the protagonist. We are very similar and have very similar backgrounds and experiences. Her depiction of studying abroad in London and traveling Europe took me back to when I did the very same thing. I was able to relive the experience all over again. There is a very cute love story that is interwoven into the plot, but I love that the book is more than just that. Overall, this is a happy, uplifting book about a young girl finding herself and being courageous and confident in who she is.
